Enable Citizen Reporting Public Form in Request and Work Orders on Munisight Webmap 

 

How to Setup and Enable the Citizen Reporting Public Form: 


This can be completed by any AMP Admin (either Munisight or client) 


  1. Open the Requests and Work Orders dashboard on the Munisight Webmap 
  2. Go to the Settings Menu and scroll down to Public Form Settings 
  3. Select the checkbox for Enable Public Form 
  4. The Form Title can be changed 
  5. Enable/Disable Images can be toggled 
  6. Choose whether certain fields in the form are Required or Optional 
  7. The Notification link will take you to the Settings – Notification menu. Choose one person from the dropdown list who will receive notifications when public requests are created, when public requests are approved, and/or when the work order associated with a public request is completed. If the person does not appear in the dropdown, you can add them in the People area of the Settings menu. 
  8. Test the setup to make sure it is working correctly. Use the link to add a new request as if from a member of the public. Confirm that the test request has been added to the request queue. 
  9. Once setup is completed, use the link to let ratepayers know about this feature, by adding the link to the municipality website, creating a button, or sharing it on social media. 


How to Use the Citizen Reporting Public Form: 


  1. Once setup is completed, use the link to let ratepayers know about this feature, by adding the link to the municipality website, creating a button, or sharing it on social media.
  2. In the Requests table, use the Source column to view Public and Internal requests. 
  3. The person reviewing the requests can use the location description to pin the location to an asset or map location. Until this step, the public request will not appear on the map. 
  4. The work order process remains the same
