MuniSight Webmap includes a built-in integration with OpenStreetMap.

How to turn on OpenStreetMap

The OpenStreetMap layer can be toggled on/off by using the map icon at the top right of the Webmap screen, as shown below.

What is OpenStreetMap?

OpenStreetMap uses open data, sourced by a large community of contributors, to publish a map that is free to use. The community is operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. For more information about this organization, please feel free to visit

Why doesn't my GIS data match OpenStreetMap?

MuniSight and OpenStreetMaps do not share the same GIS data. This means that the two data sources will be different. Keep in mind that OpenStreetMaps is source by the open community, and that the data in MuniSight is private to your municipality. If you do find a situation where the data is different, you may want to consider investigating which data set is correct, by going into the field and validating the data.
