The following step by step guide will assist in creating a line feature. Some examples of a line feature can consist of roads, pipelines, gravelling, waterlines, etc. 


STEP 1: Turn on the feature by clicking the check box beside the item and click the pencil icon. For example. the gravelling line item was chosen. 




STEP 2: Click the + sign to add a new feature. 



STEP 3: Click on the map to add a line feature. Multiple segments can be selected to increase the size of the line. Double click to finish selecting the feature. Click the check mark in the editing window to save the selection.


STEP 4: Fill in the information related to the selected feature. Click save or close on the bottom right. 



STEP 5: The line feature will now appear on the map. 


STEP 6: To modify the line feature, hover the mouse over the line and a dot will appear. Drag and drop the dot to change the line feature. Click the check mark in the edit window to save the changes. The X will cancel the changes. The garbage can will delete the line feature. 


     The 'i' button will reopen the feature attributes window in order to modify the information. 



STEP 7: Close the tool bar and deselect the feature from step 1.
