Rural Addressing allows the user to create and edit  rural addresses in MuniSight.


Find a rural address location:


  • Zoom to location where you want to add a rural address. Use one of the searches to find the location.
  • Zoom in using the navigation tools so that the current scale text box at the bottom right of the window reads 1:250 or 1:500. 
  • Turn on the Address Grid layer and any Address Grid labeling. This allows all of the Interval Numbers in the address grid feature to display.
  • Turn on the Cadastre address labels.
  • Turn on the orthophoto imagery if desired.



Turn on rural addressing legend entries:

  •  Expand the Property Features legend group and check the checkbox next to Rural Addresses.
  • Expand the Planning Development or Addressing legend group and check the check boxes next to Address Grid and Interval Numbers.


Create a rural address:


STEP 1: Click on the edit tool (pencil) to the right of the Rural Address legend entry. The edit toolbar displays.





STEP 2: Click the add new feature (plus).


STEP 3: Click the point on the map where you want to add the rural address.



STEP 4: Click the save feature tool (checkmark). The information window displays.


STEP 5: Populate the fields using information from the Interval Numbers and click the save and close button.


STEP 6: Close the edit toolbar.


STEP 7: The rural address will now display on the map.


Edit rural address point attribute information:



     STEP 1: Click once on the rural address point on the webmap.


STEP 2: Click on the pencil icon on the top right corner of the pop up window.


     STEP 3: Edit the attribute fields.






      

     STEP 4: Once you are done with the editing, click the save button and close the edit toolbar.




Edit rural address point locations:



     STEP 1: Click on the pencil icon next to the rural address legend entry.


STEP 2: Wait for a few seconds while the website loads. Once you see blue rings appear around the orange rural address points, click on the point you would like to move. The point will turn completely blue.


     STEP 3: Move the blue point to where you want the rural address point to be. Let go when it's placed correctly. Click the checkmark to save the new location.






      

     STEP 4: The attribute window will pop up. If you do not have any edits to make, just click save. The attribute window will close, and you will now see the point represented in orange with a blue ring in its new location.



  

     STEP 5: Your changes are saved. You can now close the editing toolbar.




Delete rural address points:



     STEP 1: Click once on the rural address point on the webmap.


STEP 2: Click on the pencil icon on the top right corner of the pop up window.


     STEP 3: Click the delete button at the bottom left.
